How CQI scoring works

CQI (Candidate Quality Index) evaluates candidates across 5 weighted categories: must-have skills (40 points), domain experience (20 points), communication quality (15 points), tenure stability (10 points), and depth of tool usage (15 points).

Unlike keyword-matching tools, CQI evaluates whether the candidate actually used the skills — built real systems, led real projects — not just listed them. A candidate currently performing the target role scores 85+ regardless of keyword checklist gaps.

What the scores mean

  • 85-100: Strong submit — This candidate matches the role. Submit with confidence.
  • 75-84: Submit — Good fit with minor gaps. Screen first.
  • 65-74: Submit with caveats — Worth a phone screen if the pipeline is thin.
  • Below 65: Pass — Missing core requirements.
